Seeing your baby get shots never gets easier. Dylan turned 15 months today and went in for his well-baby checkup, which included 3 shots. Having to hold his little arms down and seeing the look of “why are you letting them do this to me, mama?” in his eyes is what gets me every time. Oh my baby Dylan. The one surprising bit was when the nurse said “All done!” when she finished, and Dylan actually paused momentarily to sign his “all done” even through his tears. It was a weird moment of being sad and proud for my boy all at once.
As for my outfit today, I wanted to wear something light and happy as the weather was a overcast and windy. Mint, florals, and a touch of blue were just what I needed.
I love this mint top that I found at Forever 21 this past summer. Unfortunately my clumsy self spilled some salad dressing down the front so I’m in the market for a replacement. Here are a few that I found:
I’m also bringing back the Color Brigade! Every Tuesday you can come and link up any outfits you wore in the past week that incorporate 3 or more colors. I will pick 2-3 reader outfits to feature every week as well. I know I really enjoyed this weekly feature when I had it previously so I’m really looking forward to having it back!
P.S. In case you missed it:
- Pink + Green – Trying a new color combination.

I can still remember the immunizations of my children and knows exactly how did you feel. Your skirt is great – and fits perfectly with the beautiful shoes. Have a nice weekend, dear greeting

Ugh! That is the WORST!!! And it doesn't get easier. My 12 year old still shrieks every time he needs shots, as does my 6 year old. And it always leaves you feeling guilty and awful. I find buying ice cream helps–for them and for you.
Kileen says
oh yes, i'll have to do that next time. ice cream would make it all better. thanks Robin!
