Purse: Chanel Lambskin Classic Purse Replica – gifted from uncle (similar)
Goodness! Please excuse the puffy eyes and tired smiles. This is what spending hours underwater for scuba practice will do to you. Of course, it’s all worth it. 🙂
As for my outfit, I wanted to change it up a little. This strapless hot pink dress is usually a little too flashy to wear in the daytime, but I decided to dress it down by layering this lacy top over it. It actually looks like I just draped a bit ol’ doily over myself and belted it, doesn’t it? I guess whether or not you’re a fan of doilies, I do think it totally made the outfit. Score +1 for the doily!
Oh, and looking at these pictures, I don’t think these shoes really went with the rest of the outfit — the cork just throws it off a bit. Lesson learned.
P.S. In case you missed it:
- Hot Weather Blues – Casual outfit for >100 degree weather.
- Color Brigade Vol 20 – Vol 21 coming up Monday night!

This is SO cute and creative, Kileen! You know how Indian weddings usually consist of elaborate saris? The fabric, colors, etc. of this outfit reminds me so much of that. Fabulous job!

I am so in love with this ensemble! The effect of the blouse overlaid upon the strapless dress is simply stunning! One day, post pregnancy, I am going to try this 🙂

I love anything lacy and the pop of bright colour underneath is really unexpected, I usually think of pairing lace, especially white with something muted like a soft pink. I love this combo though 🙂

I actually thought that the lacy bit was part of the dress, had no clue it was two items! That's the thing with cork, it's fun and casual but it has a laid back feel that doesn't always work well with say… doilies hah. Still super cute though… and I wish I had a pair of those shoes!
