It’s been awhile since I took out the midi skirts but this past weekend was the perfect opportunity! Something about these beautiful flared skirts makes me feel like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn (Roman Holiday is one of my favorite movies of hers!) and I just love the combination of stripes and rose florals. While the longer hemline used to be a deterrant for me, as I’ve gotten older I’ve started preferring the more elegant, ladylike appeal of this type of skirt! When paired with a set of high heels (these red bow pumps always create a statement!), I find that the midi length is a style that even petites can pull off!
To balance out the full midi skirt, I recommend pairing it with a simple top in a slimming cut. This double-strap cami has also quickly become a staple in my closet! I picked it up in 3 colors (white, black, and charcoal) and I just love a great basic that can be easily mixed and matched. The fabric is silky smooth and doesn’t cling or flare out too much, while the arm holes aren’t too big and the neckline isn’t too deep. Plus, the double-straps in the back are a nice pop of detail!
