I’m totally on a wild streak this week. First, red pants. Now, leopard print? Whoa, nelly. I had the day off today and spent the majority of the day figuring out the details of my honeymoon. Now if you think leopard print is crazy, wait until you hear where we’re going for our honeymoon. AFRICA!* Yes, friends, we will be seeing leopard print in real life. On a leopard.
I’m pretty excited about the trip. Our plans include doing a 1.5 week safari through the Serengeti during the time of the Great Migration. Wildebeests, leopards, giraffes, elephants, zebras, gazelles — we’ll be seeing it all. After looking at these pictures, I’m thinking I should take this cardigan on my trip. Maybe it’ll actually work as camouflage out there? 🙂
As for now, it’ll just work for the Color Brigade! This week, I bring you the colors cream, teal, and leopard.
Now it’s your turn! Link up your colorful outfits below.
Note: feel free to link up any outfit you wore in the past week or an
outfit that you’ll be wearing later this week — it doesn’t have to be
something you actually wore today!

* Why Africa? 2 reasons: (1) We have to go before we have kids. (2) It’s expensive. So we’re asking our wedding guests to help pay (i.e. it’s on our registry). 🙂

AFRICA!!!!!! Wow! That sounds seriously amazing. And it's great that you're enlisting the help of your wedding guests. A trip to Africa is VASTLY superior to a football-shaped crockpot (which, yes, is one of the things my husband and I received when we got married =).
Jessica Marie says
This look is so chic, Kileen! It's probably my favorite of yours this month! I love that leopard cardi with that teal skirt. Perfection!
As for Africa – wowza! What a honeymoon! You're going to have a BLAST! My husband went when he was in high school, and I've always wanted to go, so hopefully it will be in my future…eventually. 🙂 We'll stick to Mexico until I finish grad school!

I miss out again this week! I need to plan out my outfits better during this 30 for 30 challenge! I have lots of laundry to do. And what was I thinking choosing so many dry-clean pieces? Anyway, enough about me . . .
I love everything about this outfit! The leopard print, something on my list for when I can shop. The ruffles/layers of your top ate very pretty. And, the pencil skirt. Aust-have that I must get!

dotty says
this outfit is such a great combination of professional and fun pieces!
Really Petite says
I love that skirt! I wonder if it will fit me? It's just gorgeous!
You didn't have to do ANY alterations?
kileen says
@Really Petite I didn't have to do any alterations, but the skirt sits about 2" below my natural waist line if I don't belt it. I think it might be a little big on you since you're about the same size as Jean from ExtraPetite. The skirts are actually on sale now at J.Crew with code AYC93K (and 1.5% back with Ebates) so it might not be so bad if you do need to add on maybe $25 worth of alterations… Just a thought. I LOVE these skirts! 🙂
