Can I be the first to admit that getting up this morning was suuuper hard with this whole daylight savings time shift? My alarm had apparently been blaring for a solid 45 minutes before I heard it! Unfortunately this also means I was running super late this morning and it was yet another bun day. But based on your feedback the last time I wore my hair in a bun, you guys actually quite liked it! I didn’t feel as bad then. I didn’t use a big mesh thing for my bun today and resorted back to my little spin pins. I wanted a “carefree girl-next-door” look instead of a “prim-n-proper librarian” look. Just cause I have to work this week while everyone else is on Spring Break doesn’t mean I can’t let loose right?
So for all you kids celebrating Spring Break, I’m expecting extra good Color Brigade entries this week! No excuses for anything boring, ya hear?
As for me, at least my jacket isn’t so boring. Red = fun in my book. Oh, and polka-dot shoes? Now I’m definitely going a little wild. 🙂
And now it’s up to you. Link up your colorful outfits below.
Note: feel free to link up any outfit you wore in the past week or an
outfit that you’ll be wearing later this week — it doesn’t have to be
something you actually wore today!

- Color Brigade Vol 9 – My outfit this week actually took some color inspiration from JNRS of Wrinkled Dollar’s entry last week! 🙂
[UPDATE]: @shoeShoesShooz actually mentioned that I looked like Snow White in my outfit today and I had to do a double-take. So true!!

I would have never thought to pair that color combo together, but it works and looks beautiful on you. As for the color Red=fun I agree, but you have to add exciting too! Great look!

kileen did you know that i have to check your blog EVERYDAY!! i'm addicted i HAVE to see what gorgeous outfit you are in everyday hahaha!
Christina says
The bun is very lovely on you – who knew that such a simple hairdo (especially one done under time constraint) could still be elegant? 🙂 Your bun looks perfect from different angles! My hair always falls, as they're too thick and heavy to be tamed!
Love the jacket and shoes! Polkadots are very youthful without being tacky. Only concern I have is that the royal blue washes on your complexion. 🙁
Kate says
LOVE your hair like that! And I'm SO so so so sorry, I blanked when I clicked enter and forgot to add my 3 colors instead of my blog name. So here they are….green, cognac and red.
Writeitinlipstick.blogspot.com says
you kinda do look like Snow White. I love it. The shoes are my favorite part but then again you always have smoking shoes!
Kileen says
oh you should try out the Goody Spin Pins. they're amazing for keeping hair
in place!
and the lighting was horrible in the last picture (totally my fault cause i
was standing under an awning). the blue isn't that bad really. 🙂
Kileen says
fixed! 🙂

Such a cute outfit. I love the yellow and blue combo, definitely not brave enough to try it though! I'd be more likely to do red and blue. But then I feel all patriotic which is weird to me cause I'm from Canada. Oh well, onward with the color brigade! 😛

Kileen says
awww, i'm sad to hear you decided not to keep the skirt. but at least
you'll now have more money to spend on other things!
and i think the necklace helped make the outfit look less "clown-ish".
