A Little Reveal...

I have my dream Chanel purse!!  I had actually managed to finally banish the idea of owning a Chanel of my own anytime soon as I'm drowning in wedding and home improvement costs right now.  But when I heard that my uncle would be traveling through Hong Kong for a recent trip, I mentioned to him that if he had time I would love to know whether the price difference for the Chanel M/L Flap.  Little did I know that he would just end up purchasing it for me!  I guess that's what I get for having a wedding and a "birthday milestone" all coming up in the next few months.  I now have a "big girl purse."  :)

Oh, and for all your Chanel experts out there, my purse came with a little dangly charm on it.  I haven't seen any other purses with this charm so I'm not sure if this is something new.  Anybody have any ideas?

Gray Skies

This jacket was a last-minute addition.  Here I was thinking it spring but one look out the window and the cloudy skies and misty rain made me realize there was gonna be some bundling up today.  The gray on gray wasn't really planned, but I think I kinda like how it turned out! 

Boo on wind.  My bangs are all outta control!  Oh well.  At least you can't see my goosebumps.  There was some serious wind chill this morning.  :)

If you've been checking up on my monthly budget post (incorrectly named as March recap when the month isn't even over.  *shake my head*...), you know I pretty much hit my clothing budget limit weeks ago.  But still, I went out and bought this blouse from LOFT.  Before you judge, though, hear me out:

• The shirt was the last one in my size. 
• I went shopping with my teacher friend, who was able to get me an additional 15% off.
• I had a coupon for $25 off of $50 and it expired that day.  Even though the shirt was $49.50, the sales associate was willing to accept the coupon!  My boyfriend calls it "the cute girl discount."  I call it fate.  

So you see, I kinda had to get this shirt. If this isn't stars aligning, I don't know what is.  :)

I was running low on creative juices this morning.  I think I may have used it all up yesterday when styling my paperbag pants.  And maybe stuffing wedding invitation envelopes until 1:00 am didn't help either... 

Thank goodness for the trusty pencil skirt and the fact that they can pretty much style themselves!  To keep my pencil skirt combo from being completely boring, though, I threw in a colorful paisley-patterned scarf.  And belted it.  It's what I do best.  :)

Pink Power

Crazy Texas weather strikes again!  Even though it was over 80 degrees yesterday, today we're back to temperatures in the 50s.  Good thing I hadn't packed away all of my winter wear yet!  These paperbag pants actually needed one more good whirl before they went into hibernation.

I love wearing these pants mostly because they force me to be creative.  They're definitely outside of my comfort-zone and it takes me almost twice as long to get dressed, but I usually love the results!  These pants have taught me that the best way for someone petite to wear baggy pants is by cuffing the bottom so that it hits just above the ankles.  It's amazing how it tapers the leg and showing a little ankle never looked so sexy.  :)

Since I had nothing to speak of as far as accessories yesterday, I had to work extra hard to recover today.  For me, there's no better way of doing going bold than with a large statement necklace.  Hope you enjoy the boob shot.

A Pleated Good Time

I had one crazy ridiculous day today!  Sadly, all my weekends from now until the wedding (May 7) are pretty much going to be ridiculous.  What exactly does this mean?  Let's just say I was up at 7:30am and am just now getting a chance to sit down and write up this post at midnight (12:14 am).  Yes, that is a loooon day, friends.  My bed is looking extra comfy right now.

Adrian (fiance) and I had our first wedding dance workshop today (for my Dallasites, Vow To Dance is awesome).  We were both a little nervous at first but it ended up being so much fun!  And this skirt was the belle of the ball, in my mind.    Everytime Adrian led me into a turn I couldn't help but sneak little glances of the ruffly pleats twirling in the mirror.  This skirt was just made for twirling.

I think my pleated, twirling happiness made me forget about accessorizing this outfit.  I totally could use a necklace and some real bracelets here (instead of an old forgotten hair tie...).  Tomorrow I'll add bring out some extra bling. 

Oh, and yes, it's the official debut of the bangs!  You like?  You better cause this is what you're gonna see in pictures now for awhile.  :)
