I found this polka-dot shirt on a rare, hubby-requested shopping trip to the mall last weekend. I had some store credit to use up at Papaya and was surprised to see this really nice silk-like shirt hanging from their racks. Since I'm lacking any sort of polka-dot patterns in my fall/winter wardrobe, I decided to pick it up. Adrian was actually surprised this shirt didn't already exist in my closet -- I guess that means it was meant to be right? :)
I'll be packing my bags tomorrow for a Thanksgiving trip out to El Paso to visit Adrian's side of the family. It'll be my first time celebrating the holidays with them, so I'm excited to see what it'll be like!
Do you guys have any Thanksgiving plans?

P.S. Winner of my Poshlocket giveaway announced!
P.P.S. In case you missed it:

Love the playful colored tights, and the lovely polka-dot blouse. I've been moping over my lack of a polka-dot top for months. Just found something polka-dotted in the depths of my closet, however, so I guess I need to stop complaining ... :)
Have a fun and relaxing Thanksgiving! My plans include family time and way too much homework.
I love your shirt!
I wouldn't have dared to wear tights in that color, but you look gorgeous & you inspire me!
I've just seen that Congratulations are in order! That is so exciting!
I just popped on to say that I have been so inspired by your outfits, that I have started an outfit of the week on my blog.
I did tell you
Hope you have a look :)
Love the shirt and the bright skirt! Have a great thanksgiving :)
I sooooooo envy your collection of skirts - each piece is beautiful!!! <3
As always, love the colors you've put together! :)
I think this is one of my favorite outfits on you! The mustard and maroon really complement each other. And the polka dots are so fun! I hope you are feeling ok and your little blueberry isn't making you too sick! Happy Thanksgiving Kileen! - Dreama
Amazing colours together, i love it!
Aw have so much fun and eat up! That baby needs food! ;-)
I am so glad that you found this amazing blouse. It looks great with the mustard skirt and the great wine tights! I love shopping trips that are induced by the significant other! You must basque in them because they don't come around often!
the tights were actually a little too bright for me... i was actually looking for my darker maroon tights but somehow my closet is hiding them from me. it probably means i need to do some closet organization soon. :)
oh i couldn't be happier that you're posting outfits now too!! hooray! :)
thanks so much, Dreama. the sickness comes and goes (although it is the worst in the mornings). i was just tipped off about having ginger tea to help with the nausea so that's what i'm trying next!
Ohhh I love these colors! The cranberry tights and yellow skirt just look amazing together. The polka dot shirt is such a great addition to your wardrobe, and I love that it's black and tan. More unexpected than black and white!
I am loving the burgandy tights paired with mustard skirt and tan pumps! The combo is really stunning!
CONGRATS on the pregnancy, btw!! I can't wait to see the babe in several months!!
thanks Laura!
Papaya has some really cute clothes. I have gotten some awesome pieces from there! I love the skirt.

All your bright, colorful J Crew skirts really make me want to give the store another try - I know it doesn't fit me, but their stuff is just so pretty!
Would never have thought to put this together...looks great!
If the ginger tea doesn't work, eat something salty, like Ritz crackers or whatever salty crackers you like, as soon as you wake up. It is actually a good idea to keep them in your night stand and to have them before you even get out of the bed. I was sick my entire pregnancy and nibbling on crackers was the only thing that allowed me to function. If you are ever out and you get nauseous and you don't have crackers, you can also try regular salted peanuts. Salty foods will also help later on if your little one gives you heartburn : )
Love this look, the color combo is great!! Have a happy Thanksgiving doll!
