I had a rare day without any meetings today, so I decided to go for a fun, casual, almost-equestrian look with a blazer and boots.  I love pairing this hot pink blazer with more subdued colors like blues and browns.  The combination is always unexpected and makes for a visually interesting pop of color.  And have you noticed my love of stripes lately?  It's no doubt I've been spending too much time on Go Chic or Go Home's monocle page lately...  So. Much. Inspiration!

Meanwhile, I'm on the hunt for a pair of cognac boots {isn't everyone these days?}.  I currently have a pair of Steve Madden Intyce boots that I picked up last year but have realized now that they're much too roomy in the calves for my liking {if anyone wants a pair of size 5.5 Intyce boots that have been worn 2 times for $35 + exact shipping, let me know SOLD!}.  In the meantime, these strappy boots from Charlotte Russe will have to do!

  16. I wish! I'm a true size 4-4.5, so even a 5 is pushing it :( I can generally do it in boots because my foot will stay somewhat put, but a 5.5 is a no-go 99% of the time :(

  20. Love this look! That blazer is perfect!

Would you say that your boots are a snug 5.5? I'm a 6 with a narrow foot, so I sometimes fit into 5.5 depending on the fit.

  23. they're actually still roomy (when i just tried it without socks) even though they're a size 5.5. they're also real leather so they might stretch out after a bit of wear (I haven't worn them enough to really have stretched them out at all).
