I had a rare day without any meetings today, so I decided to go for a fun, casual, almost-equestrian look with a blazer and boots.  I love pairing this hot pink blazer with more subdued colors like blues and browns.  The combination is always unexpected and makes for a visually interesting pop of color.  And have you noticed my love of stripes lately?  It's no doubt I've been spending too much time on Go Chic or Go Home's monocle page lately...  So. Much. Inspiration!

Meanwhile, I'm on the hunt for a pair of cognac boots {isn't everyone these days?}.  I currently have a pair of Steve Madden Intyce boots that I picked up last year but have realized now that they're much too roomy in the calves for my liking {if anyone wants a pair of size 5.5 Intyce boots that have been worn 2 times for $35 + exact shipping, let me know SOLD!}.  In the meantime, these strappy boots from Charlotte Russe will have to do!

This equestrian look is different for you and it looks great!  You should sport it more often :) I especially like your striped sweater and owl necklace

Still crushing on that blazer of yours :) And I wish those boots were a 5 and not a 5.5 :( I'd totally take them off your hands!

I wish! I'm a true size 4-4.5, so even a 5 is pushing it :( I can generally do it in boots because my foot will stay somewhat put, but a 5.5 is a no-go 99% of the time :(

that last picture totally rocks! and can i just have all of your blazers!?! love this one!

Kileen said... [Reply]

oh wow, you have such tiny feet!

great photos !! the pink blazer looks beautiful and i love how it adds a pop of color and a little playful edge to your outfit

Love this look! That blazer is perfect!

Would you say that your boots are a snug 5.5? I'm a 6 with a narrow foot, so I sometimes fit into 5.5 depending on the fit.

Gorgeous! I love these skinny jeans on you! & of course, the pink blazer is TDF!

Kileen said... [Reply]

they're actually still roomy (when i just tried it without socks) even though they're a size 5.5. they're also real leather so they might stretch out after a bit of wear (I haven't worn them enough to really have stretched them out at all).

thank you, Stephie!

Little owl necklace is so cute! I'm on the hunt for cognac boots too, thinking of mid calf probably, a hot pink blazer just like yours would be so very welcome in my closet too!

Summer colors mixed with winter pieces, great. Your boots are great too. BCBG has a great heel boot right now so if you are still looking check them out.

Hi I love the blazer do you happen to have any extra blazers because they are out of stock. Thanks

Kileen said... [Reply]

I do not have any extra blazers unfortunately. I would just keep an eye out for Zara's new releases as they come out with blazers fairly often.
