I was a bit wary of how I was going to style these teal pumps when I first bought them, but it’s actually been much easier than I thought. Add a pop of teal to a simple outfit and suddenly the look becomes worthy of a double-take!
And can I say I just love “rule-breaking” accessories? It started off with this Melie Bianco clutch in the way that it mixed brown and black {debuted yesterday}, and now it continues with these earrings that mix silver and gold. Just goes to show you that some fashion rules can be broken, right?. Meanwhile, this shirt over the skirt thing is definitely not working for me. Back to tucking my blouses into my skirts again — this is one rule I’m sticking to!

Oh!! I do love your rule-breakers!! Those earrings are so cute!
Very much looking forward to the purse giveaway! I think black and brown works only when the brown is more of a tan (like the purse)…not chocolate!

I'm with you- I think on more petite gals a tucked in shirt almost always looks better than one left out of a skirt. And definitely agree about the teal pumps- that's how I feel about my pink shoes 🙂

thanks Lyddie!! I had to figure out how to downsize what I carry in my bag so that I could switch to using this one everyday. Definitely worth it. 🙂

It seems that fashion has no rules anymore, which is great, it's all about finding your own style. Love your outfit Kileen, even with an untucked shirt, to me you will always be someone I idolize and look up to in the blogosphere!

I love the colors of this outfit and how you added in the pretty teal shoes. I've been mixing metals forever so when I designed my jewelry line I knew I had to have some mixed gold and silver pieces. I love it!

That polka dot scarf is the perfect piece to tie everything together with the teal heels! It's so cute and I love anything with polka dots!
And rule breaking accessories are the best! {In general, I just love accessories!}

I LOVE that skirt! At first I thought it was the AT skirt, which then made me want to immediately change my mind about passing up on it. Lol. The shoes are amazing – I definitely need more colored shoes in my life! It's amazing that items that are brightly colored or printed (specifially, animal print) can be 'fun neutrals'. You can wear them more often than you think, and they add a "I really gave this thought" look to an outfit when in fact, you really didn't. 😉
