At the last wedding I went to {where I wore this}, the bride wore cowboy boots under her wedding dress. I thought it was such a cute idea and a great way to show some personality! And so for today's outfit, I decided to pair my white lace dress with some cowboy-ish boots {I actually don't own cowboy boots -- I'm a bad Texan}.  Since I don't think anybody wears boots with a dress like this anyways outside of Texas, I think it ended up looking a little cowboy anyways.  :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

P.S. I'm also guest posting over at Skippy Says today where I talk about some of my favorite Fall outfits!

Those BOOTS are awesome! How did you not break your ankles walking around in the grass in those heels?

I have the same dress. Love the way you've styled it with boots, that's something I'd do, too.

I popped over after reading your guest post on Skippy Says. I love your style, especially how you mix textures and incorporate a lot of colour. In this outfit, I like the contrast between the feminine and floaty dress and flower and more rugged pieces. Consider me your newest follower :)

You're so adorable! I always thought white lace was something that would be difficult or too pretty for every-day wear. You make it look so good! I love the jacket/boots combo, it's casual but still polished. Great outfit!

Really like the boots paired with that dress - it gives it more of a tough prairie (I know, what an oxymoron) vibe. Very cute!

i've been running mostly lately as I'm taking advantage of the cooler weather (running about 15 mi/wk). then vinyasa yoga 1-2 times and then weights for another day. but if i'm busy, then weights get skipped. :)

Oh wow! I didn't notice the boots until about 4th photo. They look great with your feminine dress. It's like brick & lace,  showcasing both masculine & feminine.

Hi Kileen! I found your blog through Skippy (Inna). Great post BTW! I love western style weddings. I think they are so much fun and it's awesome that you paired a lace dress with the rest of your accessories. Great jean jacket, awesome flower,  and boots. What is there not to love? You look amazing! Hope you had a great Monday! :D

Kileen said... [Reply]

lol at the goth studs. maybe you could make it work? juxtaposing anything rocker with lace makes for a really great look, so i think you could do it!

Kileen said... [Reply]
