I took advantage of the warm Sunday weather {temps back in the 80s!} and wore my favorite pink shorts again, for what will most likely be the last warm weekend here in Texas for the year.  I mixed it up with some polka-dots and a super old corduroy blazer.  This blazer has gone in and out of my donation pile for the last year, but since I've been too busy to actually do anything beyond just create piles in my closet, I decided to give this blazer another whirl.  I don't think people wear corduroy anymore {besides pants, at least}, but I actually really like how it adds a different kind of texture to my outfit!  For now, I guess this little jacket will end up staying in my closet.  :)

I have a very similar corduroy blazer that has been gathering dust in my closet for ages...I never see people wear corduroy these days either, but after seeing how you styled this one, I'm inspired to try a similar look myself!

I have a corduroy blazer too. It is true, they are not around much these days, but that just means we have something fun to wear that is not the same as everyone else!

I can't believe that outfit is mainly F21- everything looks so good on you! I love F21, but I often find the pieces don't fit me quite right. I really love that blouse and shorts. And the blazer. Please don't donate it. Or if you decide to, please sell it to me instead :)

People don't wear corduroy anymore?  I do!  I have a blazer very similar to yours that's on constant rotation in the fall.  Love it!

No wonder these are your favorite pair of shorts -- they are adorable.  The pink makes them pop even more.

I have a brown corduroy blazer that has lived in my closet for years as well...maybe I'll h ave to pull it out soon!

I think you styled the jacket well.  Had you paired it with browns/mustard you would end up looking like Mike Brady, but pink was a nice choice!! :)

Glad you could enjoy some nice weather! :)

Cute little pink shorts!  And love the polka dots!  I know what you mean about textures.  My velvet jacket and corduroy jackets haven't been worn in awhile, but it's hard for me to get rid of it.  I think you should definitely hang on to this one!  It's a great color and cut!  :)

I really really like this outfit, Kileen! I thought that corduroy blazers were a bit dated, but I'm loving this look because you paired it with a more modern outfit (pink shorts and polka dots!) and it looks super pulled together and not dated at all. :)

aww thanks so much, Kimmie!
