Blazer: H&M Tuxedo Blazer (old) - 2 (cute cropped one!)
Top: LOFT Striped Shirt - XSP / $30 (similar)
Belt: Forever 21 - XS / $3.50 (similar)
Pants: Old Navy Cuffed Dress Capris in Pink Euphoria - 0 / $15 (buy) (wanting these J. Crew ones!)

Shoes: Marco Santi Dash Nude Pumps via Sole Society - 5 / $50 (so similar and lovely!)
Watch: Michael Kors "Small Runway" (MK5430) - $127 (buy)
Purse: Chanel Classic M/L Flap Replica - gifted from uncle (similar)

I've been eyeing the bright dahlia capri pants on J. Crew's website for months now, but at $118 it was a little hard to justify considering I don't wear pants that often. And so when I was browsing the last Old Navy sale and ran across these pink pants for only $15, I had to give them a shot.

I am so surprised at the fit of these pants! For my fellow petites out there, I have never had any luck with being able to fit into any pants from Old Navy. Even their size 0's previously have been big in the waist and hips. So you can imagine how astonished I was to find that these actually didn't look like they were about to fall off of me after zipping them up! And even though these are regular inseam, I actually really like how they hit right above my ankle {the perfect length for capri pants on petites, I think!}.

These pants are definite keepers.  For those who are a bit more wary about wearing bright colors, having the bright colors away from your face and instead in the lower half of your body actually draws less attention to you while still allowing you to have fun with your wardrobe. I'm already imagining all the remixing opportunities these pants are gonna give me.  :)

[UPDATE]: I've decided to sell my Lulu's National Lace Cream Skirt (styled here and sold out everywhere) as the waist is just too big on me.  Asking $38 + ship.  Let me know if you're interested!

LOOOOOOVE the pants. Of course I can't get enough bright colors. How could you wear these and not be in a good mood all day?

OMG! those pants are great! I too have been eyeing those J.crew pants but the price is a little steep for something so trendy.  I wonder if they still have those at Old Navy.  Love it! <3, RIA

Wow, great deal! I have to say, holding out for a trend is almost always succesful because eventually you can find it for a lower price, and your pants are a perfect example of that;)

Man, Old Navy has been hitting it out of the park lately. I remember this pair of pants along with their electric blue skinny jeans from an ad a few days ago and drooled over both. J.Crew capris fit me but looked odd, so I have a feeling they would've been too big on you. I'm so glad to see the pants worked for you!

Thanks! I think I'm gonna do some DIY alterations so that the crotch isn't so baggy. That's the only thing that really bothers me about these pants. :)

Kileen said... [Reply]

They might! I bought mine online last week so it's super recent. :)

The pants look great on you! The color is so bold and vibrant. I'm surprised these are from Old Navy. I haven't shopped there in years because their smallest sizes are always too big for me as well.

Kileen I just bought these same pants lol....they were only $4.74 or something like that!  I was thinking the same thing that they looked similar to the J Crew ones that I want but so can't afford....I wish they came in a blue color similar to the J Crew ones as well!

wow! these pants look great on you! Love your  blog. I am 5'1" and do not blog but I have learned so much by following you and other petite fashionistas, especially the petite fashion challenges.  I have a suggestion: Outerwear can be particularly challenging for petites.  Why not a PFC called OUTERWEAR CHIC.. This would be helpful with the cold winter months approaching...The look could be dressy or casual and must include an outerwear garment appropriate for being outdoors in inclement  weather.

What a great find!  I LOVE when that happens!  They will be a lot of fun to style.  I am only 5'3" and 125 so I totally know what you mean.  I have so little pants.  Partly because I am definitely more of a skirt or dress girl but also because it is impossible to find pants for our sizes!

I just bought these too! I was also surprised at how well they fit me, and for the price -- why not?

Kileen said... [Reply]

H awesome!!! I can't wait to see how you style them too!

I have these pink Old Navy pants and I LOVE them! I found mine in-store during their huge clearance sale for less than $10! I was totally loving the J Crew version and when I saw the AT lookbook, I knew these would be perfect for fall AND the upcoming spring. I'm thinking I should have bought two pairs. Lol, but I'm not much of a multiple buyer. I thought the fit was perfect too.
