There's nothing like some stripes and baubles to start off the work week!  I kept it easy and paired up a loose top with this slim-fitting pencil skirt.  But just so it didn't look too casual, I glammed it up with a statement pearl necklace.  It's hard to tell but this necklace actually had huge crystal diamonds in the innermost layer {see in this outfit}.  Since it was a little much for just going to the office, I instead wore this necklace backwards and just had little tarnished silver pieces showing instead.  Surprisingly enough, nobody could tell and it totally worked!

My combination of soft colors is a slightly different take for me for the Color Brigade, but a nice change of pace all the same. The winner of last week's feature is Ilene of Much Love, Illy rocking a tomato red, mustard yellow, and neutrals look.   I love the mustard bag accessory and it's the perfect way to rock condiment colors without going overboard!

I can't believe it never donned to me to throw the body-con skirts into the dryer since the small is too small and the medium is too big! CRAZy!

I love that dusty rose shade of your button down - so gorgeous, and the striped mini is adorable.

Kileen said... [Reply]

oh yes, it works like a charm!! the medium was too big but after one spin in the dryer, it fit pretty well {i still had to use a belt but you couldn't tell}. :)
