Review: Misikko HANA Air Professional Hair Dryer

A few weeks ago I was contacted by to review HANA Air's Professional Hair Dryer from Misikko.

What a package!

I was so curious to try out this hair dryer!  I actually was currently using a pretty nice Bespoke Labs T3 Featherweight hair dryer that I had spent about $200 on at Sephora about 4 years ago.  I know when I upgraded at the time from my simple Conair blow dryer that good hair dryers definitely make a huge difference {I won't go back to a non-tourmaline hair dryer again!}.  But, would there be any difference between my Bespoke Labs one and the HANA Air one -- two high-end professional hair dryers?

Initial shot of hot air to dry the hair.
Do you see all that hair flying straight back?  This thing has incredible power!

All done!  3 minutes and the hair is completely dry with no frizzies!
I don't even get that at my salon!
The answer?  YES.  The first thing I noticed was that this hair dryer is so much more powerful than the Bespoke Labs one.  It was like I had stuck my head out of the window of a car driving 80 mph!  The HANA one does come in at 2300 Watts while my Bespoke only has 1800 Watts.  Boy do those 500 Watts make a huge difference.  My hair was seriously completely dry in around 3-4 minutes {granted I have very thin, fine hair}!  The Bespoke one took about 6-7 minutes and even then it wasn't dry enough for me to feel comfortable using a flat iron or curling iron on it afterwards.  With the HANA, it was dry to the core.

Also, I normally do follow up my blow drying with a flat iron or curling iron as my hair does still end up looking frizzy and/or wavy with weird kinks, but after the HANA, my hair is completely frizz-free {that's a first for me, btw}.  And you know what's better than that?  Having frizz-free hair that withstands ridiculous Texas summer humidity!  Seriously.

You know what else is awesome?  Using the HANA Air's cool shot setting on a hot summer day to cool off.  :)

I LOVE my new HANA.  Misikko has graciously offered my readers $10 off any purchase with the code CUTELITTLE10.  Check out their other professional flat irons as well as their entire range of professional hair dryers!  I'm personally thinking using the code to get this Moroccan Oil treatment thing.  Any of you guys used this stuff?

P.S. In case you missed it:
  • Keeping It Cool - What I wore yesterday to stay cool in the 105 degree weather.  I ended up having to braid this hair that you see here cause I can't stand hair sticking to my neck when it's that hot!

Great review! I wonder how quickly it would dry my thick hair....

Lol! Love the last picture!!

That is awesome about the drying time and no frizz!

And what cute packaging!!

I would say in general this hair dryer cuts the drying time in half (at
least!). Maybe that'll give you a general idea of what to expect... :)

This hairdryer is amazing. I am seriously considering getting one. I have the same problems you have, with frizzy hair and whatnot, and if it takes care of it, that would be amazing! Definitely something I'm going to look into! Great review, by the way.

This hair dryer is definitely worth the investment {and you can save $10 at
least with my coupon code!}. I was a bit skeptical at first but it's so
amazing that I can't imagine going outside in the summer heat and humidity
without using this first!

I've been contemplating a better hair dryer than my conair - I think it's time for a bigger investment.

You will definitely notice a huge difference. Worth the investment!!

I personally am a fan of Moroccan Oil and would recommend it!  I know my hair dresser loves it as well!

Oh good to know! I think I'm gonna try it. :)

I never blow dry my hair just because it turns me into a giant ball of frizz and it torches my hair. Maybe all I need is a not-crappy dryer?

Kileen said... [Reply]

Yes, that's what was happening to me too! And I would have flyaways like
nobody's business! The blow dryer makes a HUGE difference. I also really
like the HANA Shine Shield Thermal Protectant and a tiny bit really helps
tame everything down too (as well as making my hair super soft!). HTH!
