On a side note, I do apologize that these pictures have taken me so long to put up. The thought of having to sort through almost 3000 pictures was daunting and I have to admit I ended up procrastinating a bit… But here they are, finally done! I plan on having a honeymoon series with several posts dedicated to my honeymoon, so get ready!
A view of Mount Kilimanjaro from the plane on our way into Tanzania. |
Our first day we spent in Arusha, the second largest city in Tanzania, and we got to take in the sights. Here is a picture of the city’s main “supermarket”. |
I have no idea how all the women were able to balance such humongous things on their head, but it was awe-inspiring to watch! |
We did see a couple “cabs” but they were super small and even carried animals! |
Adrian and I took our trip with 5 of our good college friends! We had been talking about going to Africa for years and we finally pulled the trigger and bought tickets earlier last year (before Adrian and I decided to get married). Since the trip happened to be about a month after our wedding, Adrian and I made it our honeymoon. We couldn’t have been happier have a little “college reunion” trip also double up as our honeymoon!
The vacationing gang (minus Adrian, who photographed the picture). This is before we actually embarked on safari. Notice how pale I am still? 🙂 |
We loaded up our backpacks into the safari jeep. I was seriously impressed with the packing! |
