Target Destination Beauty

Target stores have recently undergone a makeover of their beauty department!  To help spread the word of this recent change, Target invited me and six other ladies to each serve as a Beauty Advisor for the day at their local Dallas stores.  Being the beauty junkie and Target lover that I am, it was all I could do to just stay in my chair and say yes (and of course, I was squealing with excitement on the inside!).

Target Beauty:  all shiny and sparkly!
I had always known that Target had a really amazing combination of both low-end and high-end beauty products but was surprised at the number of exclusive partnerships it had:  Sonia Kashuk, NP Set, JK Jemma Kidd, Pixi, and Boot's No 7 (in the US).

Beyond just beauty, I was also really surprised to see really high-end haircare brands like Chi, Kerastase, and Fekkai on the shelves too!

Handing out free goody bags
I was given 500 goody bags filled with lots of hair and makeup samples as well as a coupon booklet with deals on lots of my favorite brands.  It was no surprise that everybody loved the goody bags but it did surprise me how many people had actual beauty questions that they wanted to ask me!  I was able to share out some skincare tips as well as help out someone pick out a new red lipstick for their evening out!

The whole day was incredible and thank you Target and Allure Magazine for providing me with this wonderful opportunity!

Aww look at you! Cute as always... I love Target (I think I go there every week for something) and I have noticed how the makeup section has expanded. There are more brands other than the regular drugstore ones...  My fave is Sonia Kashiuk. Her brushes are great and are inexpensive!

That's so cool how you got invited to be a beauty advisor for them! And you look so cute in your apron Kileen! Must have been killer for your feet though having to stand there all day in those heels haha. It's been awhile since I've visited my local Target store - that's awesome how they carry Chi and Fekkai now :)

This is awesome. I know you love all things beauty so this must have been so much fun for you. I buy a lot of e.l.f.'s line at Target. It's so affordable, and the quality is so great.

Kileen said... [Reply]

Oh yes, I had no idea Target carried e.l.f. before this event. So many great brands!

Looks like fun! I JUST purchased a Sonia Kashuk flat eyeliner brush. I got MAC Blacktrack to switch to gel eyeliner, so the next purchase was the brush!

Aww you look so cute and little next to that podium ;) What kinds of things did people ask you?

Kileen said... [Reply]

I got questions like:

- Can you recommend a night cream that's not so heavy that it weighs down
on my skin?
- Can you help me find a good red lipstick?
- My daughter has lots of flyaway hair and needs to put her hair up in a
bun for ballet. What can I use to keep her hair back?
- What's a good summer nail polish color?

Pretty interesting, right? :)

Kileen said... [Reply]

omg, MAC Blacktrack is my holy grail eyeliner!! I use the MAC 263 slanted
eye brush, but I've heard lots of good things of Sonia Kashuk eyeliner
brushes. Good luck!

Target Beauty just made the beauty are much bigger and has added new
exclusive lines with several brands like NP Set, Pixi, and Boots (to name a
few). There are also lots of testers out for different products that
weren't there before. Some stores also have computer guides that will help
you pick the right makeup and hair products too based on your skin and hair
type! It's pretty amazing the changes. :)

is this only for your target??? or is it nationwide?

Kileen said... [Reply]

The Destination Beauty event is only being tested out in 6 Dallas stores
right now. They're considering expanding it nationwide. Hopefully look out
for it at your Target soon! :)

These loans can be available on the internet for everyone pay day loans uk i suggest putting a freeze
on those debt collector lawsuits until unemployment falls with a more affordable level -- 6
percent.
