Can I be the first to admit that getting up this morning was suuuper hard with this whole daylight savings time shift?  My alarm had apparently been blaring for a solid 45 minutes before I heard it!  Unfortunately this also means I was running super late this morning and it was yet another bun day.  But based on your feedback the last time I wore my hair in a bun, you guys actually quite liked it!  I didn't feel as bad then.  I didn't use a big mesh thing for my bun today and resorted back to my little spin pins.  I wanted a "carefree girl-next-door" look instead of a "prim-n-proper librarian" look.  Just cause I have to work this week while everyone else is on Spring Break doesn't mean I can't let loose right?

So for all you kids celebrating Spring Break, I'm expecting extra good Color Brigade entries this week!  No excuses for anything boring, ya hear?

As for me, at least my jacket isn't so boring.  Red = fun in my book.  Oh, and polka-dot shoes?  Now I'm definitely going a little wild.  :)

And now it's up to you.  Link up your colorful outfits below.

Note:  feel free to link up any outfit you wore in the past week or an outfit that you'll be wearing later this week -- it doesn't have to be something you actually wore today!

Color Brigade!
  1. Add the Color Brigade button on your blog sidebar (copy the html provided).  Entries without this button will be removed.
  2. Submit your link by clicking on the "Click here to enter" button at the bottom of this post.  Please have an outfit that combines at least 3 different colors.  Prints count as 1 color (e.g. leopard print = 1 color)
  3. In the "Link it to:" field, please provide the url of the specific post (not the url of your entire blog, lol).
  4. In the "Caption or Title:" field, list the different colors you're wearing.  Example: Gold, Cream, and Red.

You're done!  Go back and check out the other amazing entries from members of the Color Brigade!

If Linky Tools is being flaky, try this link directly:  click me

P.S. In case you missed it:
[UPDATE]:  @shoeShoesShooz actually mentioned that I looked like Snow White in my outfit today and I had to do a double-take.  So true!!

I would have never thought to pair that color combo together, but it works and looks beautiful on you. As for the color Red=fun I agree, but you have to add exciting too! Great look!

The bun is very lovely on you - who knew that such a simple hairdo (especially one done under time constraint) could still be elegant? :) Your bun looks perfect from different angles! My hair always falls, as they're too thick and heavy to be tamed!

Love the jacket and shoes! Polkadots are very youthful without being tacky. Only concern I have is that the royal blue washes on your complexion. :(

Kate said... [Reply]

LOVE your hair like that! And I'm SO so so so sorry, I blanked when I clicked enter and forgot to add my 3 colors instead of my blog name. So here they are....green, cognac and red.

you kinda do look like Snow White. I love it. The shoes are my favorite part but then again you always have smoking shoes!

Kileen said... [Reply]

oh you should try out the Goody Spin Pins. they're amazing for keeping hair
in place!

and the lighting was horrible in the last picture (totally my fault cause i
was standing under an awning). the blue isn't that bad really. :)

Such a cute outfit. I love the yellow and blue combo, definitely not brave enough to try it though! I'd be more likely to do red and blue. But then I feel all patriotic which is weird to me cause I'm from Canada. Oh well, onward with the color brigade! :P

I wonder if you know where to get a decent and nice cowboy boots (retail stores or online...but preferably store so I could try on). I was looking at miley cyrus and swift taylor..and they just look gorgeous with cowboy boots...sundress + boot = cute! I think...

OMG!!! This daylight savings thing is for the birds!! I was late this morning...and yesterday morning because apparently now the alarm on my phone is going off an hour earlier than it should. So needless to say, I look like a hot mess today! But you on the other hand, look fierce as usual!

Kileen said... [Reply]

awww, i'm sad to hear you decided not to keep the skirt. but at least
you'll now have more money to spend on other things!
