A Preview and A Recap

Forever 21 Navy Skinny Belt - S (holes punched) (similar)
Forever 21 Silver Braided Shoes - 6 (heel and forefoot inserts added) (similar)

Booo...the sun washed out my outfit.  See those spots on the lens?  I have a case of lens flare.  Ok, enough complaining.  I just bought a lens hood off Amazon (using my $20 Living Social deal!) so hopefully this won't be a problem in the future.  (*fingers crossed*)

As for my outfit, I fell for another petite favorite picked up by several bloggers after Jean tweeted about it finding it for $15 during one of LOFT's big sales.  I really love the bright color as well as the ruffles to give it a romantic touch.  Did someone say that Valentine's Day was over?  Oh well, I just can't help myself.  :)

And yes, it is time for the Color Brigade, but Linky Tools is down for maintenance right now so I can create the link-up tool.  But please check back as I will have a separate post where you can link up once Linky Tools is back up!  LinkyTools is finally working again!  Link up your outfits here.

In the meantime, here are some of our Valentine's Day pics.
My surprise to Adrian:  Korean BBQ dinner
The way to his heart is with good food and good meat.
Adrian's surprise gift to me:  1 dozen roses / 1 dozen tulips, Bebe Fiona pumps
The way to my heart is with flowers and shoes.  So true.  :)

I tweeted a picture of me wearing the shoes, if interested.
We both did a great job surprising each other as neither of us had any idea that it was coming.  I think we both thought that our little date night Friday night was gonna be it.  lol.  Turns out we both had surprises for each other in store.  Pretty good for being together over 6 years right?  ^_^

I loved how he didn't do the typical red roses on Valentine's Day! The bouquet looks so special and unique. That JCrew cardigan is getting a lot of use, I'm kicking myself thinking I should've checked it out while it was in stock!

My husband gave me flowers yesterday too, delivered them to my work himself which made it all the more sweet! I am glad you had a great Valentine's Day!

love your outfit and the print on the top. i think a little lens flare can be quite pretty, even if it falls under the technical "no-nos" category.

Flowers and shoes sound perfect, seems you've got yourself a keeper!

@Banhannas haha, i'm actually kinda amazed at how much i'm wearing this J. Crew cardigan. i think it's one of the most worn items in my closet now, lol! i think petitexxs is selling hers in weathered wood if you're interested in buying: http://forum.alterationsneeded.com/for-sale-j-crew-merino-chiffon-placket-cardigan-size-xxs-t614.html#p3518

You can really rock a pair of skinny jeans, girl! And I love that combo with the ruffly blouse - the colors are bold and so pretty together!

OMG... you and your fiancee are super cute and sweet! You are definitely super lucky, those are beautiful shoes! After 6 years, I'm sure a guy should know these things or else why would you decide to marry him right?

The colors you picked go so well together! I don't think I'd be able to pull that off though. If I do, I'll let you know!

Aww, both of you gave great surprise gifts! Now, I can't figure if I'd want the Korean dinner better or the shoes/flowers combo. Your dinner looks delish! And your new shoes are faaaab.

So glad you had a great Valentine's :)
I am loving your blog!

Kileen - don't the j.crew cardis go so nicely with this blouse? I don't have the gold but I've worn it a LOT with the weathered wood and it seems like both colors bring out something different in the LOFT top.
