Pants: Forever 21 Red Pants - (hemmed) 24 (similar)
Purse: Louis Vuitton Bellevue Purse (gifted from parents) (similar)

For some reason, every time I try and figure out an outfit with these red pants, I always tend to naturally gravitate towards a red, white, and blue combo.  And then I realize it's not the Fourth of July yet and  should save that outfit for another couple months.  But then I end up going for something green and realize I look like a Christmas tree and have missed that season by a couple months too.  I tell ya, red pants are little tricksters!

In the end, I ended up swapping out the blue and green colors with a simple gray.  There's no symbolic meaning behind a red, white, and gray combo right?  Let's just hope I didn't end up matching a flag color...  :)

Red anything is a challenge for me...but you did a great job here with the pants. The neutrals on top helped to tone down the red, and the red shoes were a great choice that elongates your legs. Well done, I like it!

How about pairing it with turquoise? I love red and turquoise together!

Those pants are fantastic on you! How crazy is it that you're wearing peep toes in February? That just seems wrong but the weather has been so weird lately!

I can see how red pants could be tricky. You pulled it off. I also like black and white with red, especially stripes.

This outfit is totally appropriate for President's Day. =0P I like how the tiers extend past the original hem, it is a pretty waterfall effect.

Hot stuff! Look at you rocking those pants. I really like them with the grey and white tops. It makes it look more natural that way. Let's the red be the focal point, but doesn't make the red look out of place.

Very sassy! I had a pair of red plaid pants I wore out in college a lot and they always made me feel in a party mood.

This is an amazing outfit! I love the shade of red the pants are, and the flowy vest is amazing on its own but such an amazing contrast piece worn with the red pants! Hot combo!!!

Really Petite said... [Reply]

You are seriously rockin' those red pants! Are those the ones you got tailored?

kileen said... [Reply]

@Really Petite Yes! My mom was able to hem it up a good 2". I was afraid that the ankle zipper was going to be a problem, but she just cut it short and I love them! :)

hurricanekerrie said... [Reply]

This whole outfit feels so light and the punch of color makes it a knockout! I really really love the flowy vest!
