Baby, It's Freezing / Windy / Snowing Outside!

Remember when I mentioned that the weather was going to drop 30 degrees overnight -- from mid 60s to freezing?  Today it happened.  It snowed 2" overnight and the roads were completely iced over.  All of this called for a Snow Day!  Unfortunately I didn't realize that the roads would be too icy for me to drive until after I had gotten all dressed and made up.  So shortly after I took these pictures and I actually changed right back into my pajamas and ended up working from home in sweatshirt comfort.

It's hard to tell from the pictures above, but the wind was whipping like crazy!  I was only able to take four pictures before calling it a day (a far departure from my normal 40-50 pictures!).  So where is the fourth picture you ask?  Well, here is this beauty:

Yes, that was the gust of wind that ended it all.  :)

Hope you guys are staying warm out there!

[UPDATE]: I just realized my coat is from Banana Republic, not Victoria's Secret.  I first mentioned it in this post

I love the winter colour.

Hard to believe we are sweltering in 86F heat here in Sydney at the moment.

There's some very cute stuff going on here! Did make some changes to your blog design? If not, for some reason it looks shiny and new. Everyone is talking about a drop in the temperature, but it's been nice and sunny here in Seattle. Stay warm!

You look lovely and I'm so jealous of your snow day!

Amen, sister! The high in Flagstaff for tomorrow is 18 degrees. We've had snow off and on the last two days, but the main thing has been the wind and the general cold.

However, you looked adorable in your red coat! Hope you are staying warm!

LOL You still look lovely, despite the cold weather and wind. : )

Your coat is super cute! I thought my eyes were deceiving me but that was snow by your shoes! Oh the fourth picture looked so fun! I feel your pain-- although for the most part, Minnesota merely got scathed by this snow storm. (Thank goodness!) I'm glad you didn't drive on those roads! Icy roads are not fun. Trust me. We have plenty of those. Not fun.

Hooray for snow days! I haven't had a snow day for all the years I've been working here in MN... :(

I love all the colors you wore in this outfit! I'm still looking for that perfect red peacoat :) But I have no idea how you can walk in heels that tall all the time, let alone in snow!

That cardigan is such a great color. And I think that last pic is definitely my favorite. It sums up your description of the weather perfectly.

I was able to make it to work today after a snowstorm yesterday.Thank goodness! You look adorable in your red jacket. It looks so cozy and warm. I am just wondering, are you wearing those heels in the snow? I didn't want to take a chance to fall so I worn my flats all week :)

kileen said... [Reply]

@PetiteLittleGirl i am wearing heels but that's also cause rarely am i actually walking outside. i am fortunate to have parking garages everywhere i go and i'm usually only walking around inside my office. otherwise you'd be seeing me in flats too!

That red coat is stunning on you, and red looks like a good colour on you as well. It is windy here in London today as well, but perhaps not as much as where you are =)

It's been freezing out lately, this is my second snow day in a row! I love that coat! It's so bright and fun with neutral winter items and I have a chambray shirt from H&M that's really similar to yours. I really like the mustard cardigan too, I've been wanting one for a while and will definitely check out target. Did you get it recently?

Your feet must be so cold! I've been going out in boots EVERY day this winter. I can't imagine what that's like :(

I'm still searching for the perfect mustard cardigan. I LOVE the color, but it washes me out with my skin and hair so badly. I need to find juuuust the right shade.

Don't blow away, pretty little one!
