Tutorial: Messy Bun Look Using Goody Spin Pins

Finally, the tutorial that you've been asking for!  If you missed my previous posts (here and here), I put up my hair in a messy bun using a couple Goody Spin Pins.   Check out the video for how to achieve this look:

I apologize that the sizing is a bit off, but you can view the video in HD if you like.

And the magic behind the bun:

Does this work for people with TONS of hair? I have a ton ton ton of hair so it gets ultra thick =T
Nevertheless, your video is so cute! You speak very clearly with diction. Lovely.

I totally did this the other day before you even mentioned using spin pins! I took pictures but my sweater was all wonky (husband said he's only photographer, not stylist, so he didn't catch it) so I didn't post them.

Your voice totally doesn't sound like what I pictured you to sound like!

Thank you so much for posting this! It's so nice to see someone who has fine hair like I do with a perfect messy bun as a result. I will definitely try these! :)

Thank you so much for sharing this Kileen! My hair is EXACTLY like yours - very thin and fine. I've tried to put my hair up in buns using bobby pins, but the bun always starts to loosen a few hours later. I'm definitely going to pick up these spin pins next time I'm at the store :)

I love the messy bun result, and I got a set of those pins a while ago at Bed Bath & Beyond, but I have the opposite problem. My hair is very long and medium thickness so I find that the pins don't feel stable enough after I insert them. But I usually spin up a very neat bun, so maybe the messy would work better!

yes, and since you have thicker hair, maybe use 4 spin pins instead of just
2...
