I went for a rocker chic look today.  I don't remember the last time I wore so much black.  Or leather, faux or not.  I actually saw these faux leather pants at H&M when I was in California and instantly fell in love with them.  I've never been brave enough to rock pants that were entirely faux leather as I think it's just a little too bold for me in the daytime.  These pants, however, have a very matte finish and feel almost like a waxed jean.  There are little faux leather panels around the knees that add nice accents, but they're somewhat subtle and just the perfect amount of shiny faux leather for me!

To top off the pants, I wanted something fun and decided to mix some sequins with the leather.  I'm loving this sequin top so much more than I originally expected and am so glad that I ended up getting it during my last LOFT haul in December.   As for the jacket, I actually wanted was my Arden B ruffle one, but alas it was at the tailor's.  So another layer of black it was.  Funny thing was, with all the black and leather I was wearing, I actually felt really tough.  And like I needed a motorcycle.  ^_^

I am having outfit envy right now. Leather and lace is one of my favorite sayings but now I'm thinking it should be sequins and lace. I think the black jacket made this out fit so good job tailer by keeping the white ruffled jacket.

Wow, this look is so different from what you'd normally wear..I love it on you :D I've seen a few faux leather pants at H&M but the size 2 is always sold out. Size 4 is a bit baggy for me.

Don't you just love the confidence boost that dressing rocker gives you? ;)

emphasizing on Ping's comment- very well-coordinated hair for this outfit.

I like that the sequins and your flower necklace adds a touch of femininity to this dark ensemble.

HOT! You certainly achieved the tough look - I too am loving the floral necklace with this :)

such a great fit on the jacket! other than hemming the sleeves, did you take it in as well?

kileen said... [Reply]

@I am Khatu nope, the XXS fit perfectly actually in the body! the only issue was the sleeves being about 1" too long on me, which really isn't that bad. :)

stunning look darling!

Great look, Kileen!
The jacket looks so nice after hemming. You are right about the leather pants, they have a matte finish, so they are easier to wear. Nicely done.

You look amazing! I can never pull off the rocker/leather jacket look. I just stare at myself in the mirror and say "woahh, not me" but maybe one of these days I'll turn around in the mean time, keep rockin' that jacket girl!
