I grew up as a tomboy. There was nothing better than an afternoon spent exploring the woods, climbing trees, and catching frogs in our neighborhood pond. I almost always had a scabbed knee and I can't remember a single time I voluntarily wore a dress. Oh, how times have changed. Ratty jeans have changed into frilly skirts, tennis shoes have changed into high heels, and I'm still putting on scar cream to fade out those leftover scars.
Nothing brings out the feminine side of a girl better than lace. I'm loving the lace front detail to the dress and even the pseudo lace detailing on the tights. I don't think I could wear any more lace if I tried! Yes, it's true. The tomboy has left the building. Enter the era of the "girly girl". (Is that what you call it? There's gotta be a better name for that...^_^)

I love lace too and your entire ensemble is so feminine. I was a tomboy growing up too (still am) but I have always loved lace and ruffles and pink. :)
I love the tights and the lace details of your shirt. Lace is indeed very feminine. : )

Lace...oh how I love lace!!! You look great! Love the lacy tights- I wish I could pull something like that off..LOL
You are so lovely, Kileen :) I love the lacy details and I bask in its glory. Lace on clothing is something I adore in feminine pieces :) So awesome you found it at Target! :)
Thank goodness you have outgrown the tomboy thing. Nice outfit. By the way, I prefer sophisticated to girly girl.
glad you decided to get this. I love the gray lace in the front. Everything looks great!

ooo la la! very nice! i was going to say, the lighting looks great in your pictures! :)
The pumps just POP out contrasted with the dark tights and the dark color in your dress. Love, love lace. I haven't been bold enough yet to wear it (too similar to lingerie) but definitely reconsidering layering it like you did here.
I used to be a tomboy too. Well, ok I still sort of am. I think the years of refusing to wear girly things has finally caught up to us =P
I like the lace on lace. I thought it might be too much, but you pull it off perfectly. Great look as always!
Wow, I'd never have believed you were a tomboy looking like that. You look so cute! And I love the lace. :-)
I really like your tights! I'm in need of a lace pair. And Ilike that you went for 2 lacy things, it looks very pretty. I was the same way when I was a kid, and now I'm always in dresses and often in heels. People I meet now are often really surprised to find out I played ice hockey for ten years.
Kileen, I just went to check out your shop and recognized this dress...cause I own it! I looooove how you styled it with the printed tights! I'll let you know when I post my version :) ok, ok, back to the shop!
oh how awesome!! i would love to see how you style it! :D
