OOTD: Boot Up!

Banana Republic Cowl Neck Top - XS (similar here and here)
Urban Outfitters silence + noise Skirt - XS (similar here and here)
Bakers Tate OTK Boots - 5
The Limited Black Pendant (similar here)

If you remember my fiasco with the F21 OTK boots, you'll know that I've been on the hunt for some good OTK boots for awhile now.  I was seriously lusting after the Halston Farrah boots but the price was just a bit too high for me as I was hoping to shell out only around $100.  Finally, I was at the mall this weekend and found my perfect pair of OTK boots at Bakers for only $109!  I'm in love with the wedge heel, the almond-shaped toe, and the fact that it has the perfect amount of snugness to wear under jeans and tights.  These boots do a good job of keeping their shape, so even worn over a bare leg these guys aren't too slouchy.  These boots totally blew my budget for the month, so I'm actually planning on taking back a few items I bought previously to recoup some of my costs.  But these boots are total love, and definitely worth the sacrifice!

An added bonus of these boots is that you can fold down the top portion and turn them into knee-high boots, which for me is much more work appropriate.  Although the over-the-knee look is super hot, it certainly wouldn't work in my conservative hedge fund atmosphere.  Here's how I actually looked when I walked into work:

Which look do you guys prefer with this outfit?  OTK or rolled down?  Let me know!  ^_^

Those boots are great, and I really like the skirt. I definitely prefer them pulled up, but completely understand what you mean about that being too risque for work, lol.

@Really Petite I've found that for all shoes except Steve Madden, I'm a size 5. For Steve Madden, I gotta bump up tot a 5.5. I was ecstatic when the lady said they still had size 5 in these boots! ^_^

Fantastic skirt! I prefer the boots rolled down but they sure look cute over the knee as well! It looks like it is a lot warmer over where you live, so jealous.

I love the boots worn both ways. Either one works so well with your outfit. Best of all, they're flat-heeled boots! My fav =P

@Cee i actually explicitly wanted flat-heeled boots cause i feel like a tall boot (knee high or OTK) with a heel becomes a little too risque for work. i saw another girl wearing it at work the other day and it was definitely drawing all the wrong kind of attention. i really like the hidden 1" wedge heel of these boots. perfect!

okay first, that skirt is TDF! i love it! second, i prefer the OTK look but ya doesnt really work well for work unless the skirt/dress comes down to the top of the boot.

That skirt is so gorgeous on you! The pleated detailing is so pretty! I think both boot looks work.
