Little Fluff Stuff Flower Bib Necklace in Oatmeal
I love shoes. Especially tall shoes. I think it's common knowledge that I wear some pretty tall shoes to work. The funny thing is that I actually make a concerted effort to tone it down. If I could have my way, I would wear 6" heels everyday. Unfortunately, I would probably be labeled a stripper and not a programmer.
I decided to push the limits of shoe height today by wearing my 4 3/4" boots. These are some of my favorite boots of all time as I love the wrapped bow detailing and the beautiful mahogany suede material. Paired with some matching brown tights, I don't think the shoes looked too extreme (hopefully!). I did, however, feel like a rock star with my new found height. Is there a such thing as confidence in a shoe?
To top off my outfit, I added this super cute felt flower bib necklace that I purchased from my friend Elle's Etsy shop: Little Fluff Stuff. I'm in love with this necklace and don't remember ever receiving this many compliments on my jewelry. Ever. That says a lot.
So I figure I have an excuse for pushing the limits with my shoes today. They probably won't be getting any love for the next 30 days. I'll be doing Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge and even though these shoes are beyond amazing, they're probably not versatile enough to make the cut. But I'll be picking out my 30 items this weekend so expect a post up by tomorrow (Sunday) displaying my selection. My first challenge outfit will be posted on Tuesday (showing what I wore on Monday), so please stay tuned!!
P.S. Thank you everyone who entered my mini giveaway!! I will post the results later today. Please check back!

kileen, i love the boots! you have a great shoe selection. and where are you going this morning all dolled up?? i'm still in my pj's :P
@Leena haha, this was actually my outfit for yesterday. I'm still in bed right now. :)
ahh i see! my pumps are 5 inches, and i still wear them to the office :) if your office is lax, i think tall shoes are okay, as long as the rest of the outfit is tame, which yours is. great outfit!
I completely adore your outfit! The boots are amazing. I don't blame you for loving them. LOL on the stripper vs. programmer comment. I think it depends on the rest of your outfit. Great job here!
awww the necklace looks great on you Kileen :} thank you so much for featuring it I feel so warm and fuzzy inside! :D
Great, Great outfit and good luck with the 30 for 30 challenge!!!!

I love tall shoes too, but I find it difficult to use the stairs in them sometimes. Great boots though...they're hot! =)
the boots are so cute and I really like the necklace! I have a similar one from H & M :)
I think this outfit was a good way to push the shoe height. you look fantastic and if people were complimenting the necklace, they weren't thinking about the boots!
:O i love your boots ♥ ♥

cute boots! they are really hot. definitely not stripper --lol!
Oh my, I love the skirt and the boots!!
I don't think they're stripper at all! I hate how being in such a profession that you can't dress a bit more stylish without feeling uncomfortable.
Your detailing of the boots makes me want to go find them right now. hhaha
Okay, I shouldn't be so discriminating against Jessica Simpson and her line anymore. Those boots are adorable! Love the circle effect that your skirt has, it goes very nicely with the boots. =0D
@Banhannas haha, i have a guilty love for Jessica Simpson's clothes, shoes, and accessories. i'm always amazed by how cute her stuff is! :)

The necklace is so cute, definitely makes a statement! I like how your skirt is poofy, but not overly so. It reminds me of those long ball gowns from eons ago that girls wear with petticoats underneath haha. Great look!
@Cee thanks, i agree completely!! i love the petticoat look but those things are way too scratchy.
Wow! You look fabulous n that outfit, and such a nice smile. The photographs are very good, and the poses are interesting. :-)
Adorable! That skirt is so flattering and the bib necklace adds sooooo much to the outfit;)

Cute. I like your style.
Programmer like IT? If so, you're the best dressed (and cutest) programmer I've ever seen! (And every IT male I'd know would be in love with you.)
And even if not IT, those statements still hold true. You're adorable!
@Ashe Mischief lol, not quite IT as IT usually doesn't do a lot of programming. we have a separate development group that does pure software development and that's where i am. thank you so much for the compliments, doll!! :)
