Express Red Skinny Belt - S (similar here)

Sundays are my fundays.  Unfortunately as of Saturday night, I am officially sick.  I woke up with a hacking couch and a croaky voice that would scare even the croakiest of toads.   I spent most of the morning laying around in bed, on the couch, and even on the floor with my cats.  Being sick seriously saps all the energy out of you.  It gets me everytime.

But, the show must go on!  I had errands to run and people to meet.  So I put together a little outfit that included some whimsical accessories to cheer me up:  red lady gloves, a birdhouse necklace, and polka dot tights.  I'm especially fond of these gloves and had to do a double-take when I first saw them in the store.  They're so classy yet cute at the same time!  They seem so Audrey Hepburn-ish and add a little something unexpected to the outfit.  I got the following reaction from the boyfriend: "look!  you're like... a little glove-wearing person!"  He's clever and silly like that.  ^_^

Hope you guys had an excellent weekend!

P.S. My top knot hairstyle was inspired by Sydney of The Daybook and her latest tutorial!

Ohmygosh~ with your hair up and the outfit you totally channel Audrey Hepburn!! That was my very first thought! I love royal blue on you, and looks so good w/the camel skirt! Wish I could get my hands on the exact same skirt!

@s thanks!! i was actually going for the Audrey Hepburn look exactly!

and you don't want this skirt. the waist is huge on me and i have to belt it so much that the fabric bunching in the back is not so attractive. i'm on the lookout for a better camel skirt too. Elle over at Fast Food and Fast Fashion posted a H&M skirt that looks much more promising if you have an H&M nearby... :)

Hi, Kileen, fellow remixer here! I was just going down the list of remixers and now that I'm here, it seems like I've visited before. I really like your red boat neck tee!

Best of luck on the remaining days of the challenge.

Your outfit literally made me squeak! I LOVE it! Those gloves are darling.

I just got over the cold-crud myself, yuck. Rest (and copious amounts of Nyquil, shh!) are always best. I hope you feel better soon!
