OOTD: A Dress, a Skirt, and A Bolero All Walk Into A Bar

Fall is all about layers right?  So I layered a skirt and a bolero over a dress for the first time, and I think it actually worked!  This outfit definitely worked overtime on Friday -- it went from work, to opening night at the Dallas Windspear Opera House, to a fancy Japanese dinner at Tei-An, and finally to a bar in downtown called Black Friar.  Surprisingly enough, I didn't feel overdressed or underdressed at any of those places (although the bolero did come off at the bar).  This is the definition of an outfit for all occasions! 

Friday was also another fashion milestone for me.  I finally ordered my first pair of designer shoes -- a pair of peep-toe booties from L.A.M.B.

The style is called Glance, and I was lucky enough to get them when Piperlime had a 30% sale on all Fall Favorites as well as a 20% coupon code.  These shoes still qualify as the most expensive shoes I've ever bought for myself, but they're absolute love.  I ended up switching out my original shoes that I wore on Friday and wearing these instead because I was so excited!
