Back in the day, MAC Parrot eyeshadow was this much-coveted, rare eyeshadow that I would see going for >$50 on eBay. Everyone claimed it was the most beautiful, bright, and flattering teal eyeshadow MAC had ever released. I ogled over pictures of people wearing it in their FOTD pics and agreed, this was the "it" eyeshadow.
Needless to say, I got caught up in the teal eyeshadow hype. Since then, I"ve purchased Teal pigment, Freshwater eyeshadow, Talent Pool eyeshadow... and finally, Parrot. MAC lovers everywhere rejoiced when Parrot was re-released in the Originals holiday collection of 2007. It was madness. That color sold out like Stereo Rose sold out this year.
Unfortuantely, I think my love of teal eyeshadows is waning. Most of the time, I only use teal in my lower lashline as I don't wear colors that bright on my lid to work. After today's use of Talent Pool, I'm actually even considering putting this eyeshadow up in my next blog sale... I have to admit, it's the end of an era.
Do you guys have any colors that you've slowly outgrown?
Thanks for reading!

That looks so pretty! Funny, because I used to be obsessed with my teal eyeliner too. It is still my favorite eyeliner brand (Chanel) as far as staying power, but I want to get one in gray or brown. For now I just wet a thin brush and dip it in the color eye shadow I want to line my eyes with.
Will you come do my makeup? lol. I only wear neutral colors on my face- creams, tans, browns. I don't really feel comfortable wearing bright colors on my eyes except for I do love a deep purple shadow sometimes. I've never really been into bright colored eyeshadows or eyeliners, and stick to black eyeliner all the time. Boring! This teal looks great on you!
@TinyInTexas lol, i would love to do your makeup!! I've been trying to get myself to branch out more and try out some different colors, but I mostly stick to neutrals too. Maybe this weekend I'll be a little more adventurous with some eyeshadow colors on my lid... :)
So pretty!! :) I love teal!! It's such a vibrant and pretty color :D Your eyelashes are ridiculously long!!!
@Rainy Days and Lattes Thanks! My lashes are actually all kudos to L'Oreal's Lash Boosting Serum. It's the only thing that's worked on my short Asian lashes!
