OOTD: Soft and Feminine today is Friday, I wanted to wear something fun and girly.  Of course, this involves the color pink!  The challenge with wearing pink, especially when you're petite, is not to look too young.  I still want to be taken seriously by my co-workers when I'm telling them something!  Here's the look I came up with:

Charlotte Russe embellished top in S
Forever 21 Satin Tiered Skirt in XS
Guess Mary Jane silver pumps in 5.5
The Limited Hammered Metal Earrings

Top: I found this top at the Charlotte Russe outlet several months ago.  It was exactly what I had been looking for since I wear lots of neutral-colored skirts and am always looking to pair it with a similar top.  The embellished beads at the top are a nice addition and fortunately are just enough to not be over the top for the workplace.  The top is in a size small, which is a tiny bit baggy on me, but they didn't have an XS in stock.  This is such a versatile shirt and is on the top of my faves list!

Skirt:  I love tiered skirts as I feel like they're a nice mix of a slim-fitting skit and an A-line skirt as far as shape goes.  Also, the tiers add an extra bit of femininity to the look and the grey tiers at the bottom also bring back the classy look that I'm going for with the outfit.

Shoes: These shoes I bought 2 years ago at the Guess outlet store on Black Friday.  I absolutely LOVE these shoes and have almost completely worn them out.  Similar to yesterday's OOTD post, these Mary Jane ankle straps hit at the middle of the foot instead of the ankle, making your leg not look so short.

Earrings: Since the shirt had so much going on at the collar already, I skipped the necklace for today.  I opted instead just for some simple earrings.  I love these hammered metal ones from The Limited.  The hammered metal adds an edgier twist to the normal drop earring style.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Stay cute!

  1. This is a cute look! I think pairing any color with grey transform the outfit into a more "grown up" feel. And it helps that you chose a pale pink instead of say... fuchsia :P

  2. lol, yeah, good thing it wasn't fuschia. that would've been a challenge!

  3. woah amazing look, exactly the fashion style i love<3, the colours work very well together^^
    have a great day :)
    drey jewelry.

  4. Love this look! It's definitely fun and girly and also appropriate for work! Great job! I was eyeing the same skirt and F21, but I think they're all out now...bummer.

  5. @The Owl's Closet I think the skirt is still available via their website. Here's the direct link:
