My MAC Pro store released the Venomous Villains collection today so I had to stop by after work!
Here's what I came home with:
such cute packaging!
Bad Fairy nailpolish
Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Truth and Light
Sweet Joy eyeshadow
Innocence, Beware lipstick
The Venomous Villains collection is MAC's collaboration with Disney to celebrate the beautiful villains in their movies. There are four beautiful villains that are showcased -- Cruella de Vil, Maleficient, Evil Queen, and Dr. Facilier (links to temptalia.com).
My Mini Review:
MAC released 3 new nail polish colors -- Bad Fairy (red), Mean & Green (green), and Formidable! (purple). All three of them have lots of reflects glitters in them and are super gorgeous both in the bottle and applied. The reflects did make the application a bit more tricky. I had to pay a bit more attention while applying to make sure that I got the reflects applied just right so that they would reflect properly in the light. I ended up needing 3 coats in order to make the polish fully opaque.
Magically Cool Liquid Powder:
Be sure to try this out in person!! It's amazing how this "powder" felt like a liquid foundation when I first felt it on my skin. It indeed lives up to the cooling factor and has a nice shimmer to it. The coverage is very sheer and I'm hoping to use this as an all over setting powder over my BB cream. There are two colors that came out in this collection. I bought Truth and Light, the lighter color powder.
I picked up the Innocence, Beware cremesheen lipstick. This was my first time buying a cremesheen finish and I was a bit wary. Cremesheens in the past have just not looked great with my skintone and make my lips look super chapped. But, this one seemed different! It actually went on extremely smoothly and the color was basically a MLBB (my lips but better) shade. I think this is actually quickly becoming one of my favorite lipsticks!! I'll probably go back tomorrow and buy a backup. :)
I hadn't planned on picking up any eyeshadows (I have so many already!), but I made the mistake of swatching Sweet Joy. Once I swatched, I realized that this color was pretty unique. Here's a picture of the eyeshadow and a quick comparison swatch with some other eyeshadows:

I personally find the Sweet Joy color very unique and see it as being an ideal highlight color for blending out eyeshadow. It's not too frosty and has just the perfect golden hues.
A video review (this is my first YouTube ever!)
The Venomous Villains collection isn't officially available until next Thursday, September 30,but MAC Pro stores are releasing them a week early. Stop by and check out the collection. I think you'll be impressed like I was! ^_^
